Today I spoke to the Nautel folks for a bit on the phone about their first-rate transmitter. They are having a sale, including an optional audio processor part in the regular list price. That’s a pretty good deal.<\/p>\n
We talked about RDS. Their transmitter does ‘static’ RDS, which means that it will display a small string of text on an RDS enabled receiver. We are looking to do more than that. We would like to show the title and author of the current piece being broadcast. <\/p>\n
It sounds like we will need an outboard RDS encoder box to do that.<\/p>\n
I also did some more work on our kickstarter project page. More to be done in that department before we launch it.<\/p>\n
